new york fashion week day 6

up early to get some writing done in the morning. then headed off to the lincoln center to catch the models coming out of vera wang’s show. buzz on the street was we were about to see some celebs leaving the white tents. spotted: beyonce (omg omg omg) and kim kardashian (sporting a vera dress, obvi).

zang toi was finally showing today, i was looking forward to seeing his collection all week. kirstie alley ended the show in the final look, a satin royal blue gown complete with hand sewn crystals. jaw dropping. i headed backstage after the show to get some up close shots of kirstie, zang and my wonderful friend errol.

off to starbucks in between shows to snag some faster internet or so we thought. it was overflowing with people. after trying a few other locations and right as i wanted to give up, we ventured back to starbucks for another try. great news: i found two bar seats! the hotel’s internet connection has been off and on due to all of the fashion goers who have invaded the city. the empire’s wifi is on overload. lo and i worked quickly before our scheduled interview for LOLO magazine with valentino vettori, designer of improvd (he previously designed for diesel). loved talking with him backstage while amazing videographer and friend aaron craig got footage of the models in hair and makeup before they went out for the presentation. inspired by animals, the collection had so much depth to it. hand woven pieces and delicate accents. bravo to valentino vettori.

our friend sam who lives in the city met up with us at the empire for a drink! spotted: giuliana rancic and cloris leachman (both guests at the hotel this week). so excited we got to catch up, it had been too long!

i wonder what the city has in store for tomorrow…a little birdie told me i have a seat at michael kors. so pumped.
