Merry Christmas!! I still cannot believe that Christmas has already come and gone this year! I’m currently hanging out with my family in Texas for the week. I absolutely love coming home for an extended stay each year during the holidays. We all gather at my family’s ranch for Christmas …and when I say “we” I mean EVERYONE. My grandparents, all of my cousins, aunts and uncles are here AND my cousins CUTE little ones. I love seeing their faces when they open presents. JUST TOO CUTE! While bundling up in layers here during the cold front, I can’t help but think that just a few weeks ago I was on a beach in Belize. So since it’s on my mind, I wanted to share some of my trip with you!
Okay, who’s been to Belize? If you haven’t, I highly suggest taking the trip! Southwest Airlines flies to Belize now, and it’s super easy for those of you in Texas (direct flight from Houston) or the East coast (direct flights from Florida). West coasters, you will have to make a stop, but it’s not that bad. The water is crystal clear there…I could see fish in the water from the plane! Yes, it’s so beautiful and the snorkeling and diving is incredible. I love that the water is warm, the beach is white and you really feel like you’re in paradise. We stayed at the Pelican Reef Villas on San Pedro Island, and the place was gorgeous! I highly recommend staying there. The service was incredible, the rooms were huge (we had a two bedroom condo) and the beach front location is breathtaking. You MUST take a day to visit the Lamanai Mayan Ruins if you haven’t before and MUST snorkel or dive at least once!
Now let’s chat about this cover-up below. First, we made a trip via our golf cart we rented for the week (another MUST while there) to the Secret Beach. We spent the day on this secluded beach while we layed out and sipped on delicious drinks!
