Let’s talk velvet. I’m sure you’ve noticed this to be one of the hottest trends of the season. Well, personally I couldn’t be happier about it. I am all about textures and details when it comes to clothing, and I love how velvet can instantly elevate a normal piece. For example, these cropped flare pinstripe pants I’m wearing below are already fabulous but then you add the velvet texture to the garment and BAM! These pants went from “oh those are cute” to “I must have them immediately” in my mind. I’m also loving that plaid has made such a statement this Fall/Winter. Seriously the pattern is everywhere, and I’m not mad about it. This overcoat is perfection. If you haven’t invested in a plaid blazer or coat, you must! This trend is sticking around, so it’s worth it. This look is easy to put together and transitions well from day to night. I mean, need I say more?
I still can’t believe that it’s almost Christmas! It feels like just yesterday was Thanksgiving. Currently, I’m on a plane headed to Texas to see my family for the holidays. Ahh I’m SO EXCITED to see everyone. We all gather at our family ranch this time of year, which is something I’ve looked forward to each year since I was a little girl. I can’t wait to see my parents and brother and catch up with my cousins, aunts and uncles and of course my amazing grandparents (if you’ve met them, you know what I’m talking about)! I hope everyone is ready to relax and hang with family and friends this weekend because I sure am.
