The velvet trend continues to be something that catches my eye. For example, the texture takes this black dress from simple to interesting. All of the sudden you are doing a double take…is this velvet? Why yes, it is. I love how it almost has a shimmer when the sunlight hits the fabric just right. I also am into the fact that you can wear this piece with sneakers for daytime or booties, over-the-knee boots or even a chic pump for a night look. The jacket options are also endless with this velvet black dress. Denim, leather, faux fur, I mean I could go on and on. I layered on some of my favorite chokers to complete my look.
