Fashion Week in Review

While prepping for one of my favorite times of year, I couldn’t help but go through past street style photos taken during fashion week. Every season the week comes and goes so quickly, then before you know it the time has come to pack your bags and head back to the city. Luckily, fashion week always comes around just in the nick of time (when I need a glimpse of the city that gives me CRAZY inspiration). Then there is the ultimate question for each season: what to pack? Well, luckily I have a week to figure that out.

Now, back to the photos. Here are just a few of my favorite looks taken outside of Lincoln Center during MBFW throughout the September season years (saving the February looks for another time). Which one do you like best? xo

Neon in New York

Fashion Week has been a rush that I can’t even explain (in the best kind of way). I’m ready to start shopping Spring 2014 (even though Fall has barely begun). Pairing neons with a black high-low skirt only seemed right for this sunny day in NYC where I would be splitting the day between Milk Studios and Lincoln Center. I have enjoyed every moment of the craziness that is New York Fashion Week. It’s always bitter sweet to say goodbye to the city and get back to reality. Luckily, this inspiration will last for a long time. Talk about an overload.

PS- Check slide 3 on the StyleList’s NYFW street style photos, you may see someone familiar.

Good Morning New York

New York Fashion Week equals Christmas in my books. Yes, the week really makes me as giddy as a child waiting up all night to see what gifts Santa has put under the tree. Fashion shows, editors, celebrities, big city, parties. Could a girl ask for anything more? Being inspired is what it’s all about.

One of my favorite moments so far would have to be all the eye candy walking down the runway at Nautica. I mean could these men be any hotter? NO. Trying to make eye contact with just one of the models as I sat front row with fabulous friend, Courtney, was a goal during the show (which did not last long enough if you ask me). Did I mention how much I love this city? Days are starting to run together, I can’t even keep track of the runway shows I have attended (which is very normal for this time of year).

Naturally, I chose to wear a leather skirt and dinosaur tee to Lincoln Center this fine day. Special thanks to friend and wonderful photographer Kat Harris for these pics.
