A Feminine Edge

Day 3 of fashion week had begun, and today I decided to wear a more feminine look. I paired this floral skirt with a soft tee and sneakers of course (my version of girly). Every once in a while you will see me in a girly look but for the most part I usually throw in an edgy element like I did today with my glitter sneakers.

I started my morning with the Taoray Wang show which brought a menswear inspired collection to life with sleek hemlines. Cinched waistlines gave this business chic collection an fresh look for the season. Next up? Runa Ray then off to see Olivia Palermo’s collection with Banana Republic. As you may have already seen (because it’s breaking the internet) there is a floor length red military jacket that is everything. I HAVE to own this piece. It was seriously unreal. Then I jetted off to Son Jung Wan to see a romantic and dreamy collection float down the runway. I loved the colors and floral prints chosen this season. I ended my evening at the LIKEtoKNOW.it party mingling with other bloggers (and friends). This is always a fun event I look forward to each season at fashion week. The team really outdid themselves this year with an amazing party and venue.

I wrapped up the night with dinner at Quality Italian. THIS is a MUST next time you’re in the city (it’s the same owner as Quality Meats). You have to order the chicken parmesan pizza…I know it sounds weird, but trust me it’s incredible! It was bittersweet to have my last night in the city but I had one show left in the morning then lunch and off to the airport. This season was a great time to reflect on the past seasons and really enjoy what I do. I love being a part of the fashion industry as a blogger and a journalist (take a look here to see some of my show coverage). While much has changed over the past six years that I’ve attended, fashion week will always be a special time for me.

Until next time NYC. xoxo Lolly
