Striped pants. Funny that these used to sort of throw me for a loop. They have been in my closet for several years, and I have barely worn them. Why? Not sure. Alas, the other day I decided to bust them out with a little Aztec flare. Perfection. Purple pumps? Of course. Red Ray-Bans? Duh. The outfit just pulled itself together with little effort. I’m feelin’ the striped pants. They were a good purchase.

Friday Crush

Since it’s Friday, I felt a post was necessary for those who may want to do some online shopping while “working” today. Friday is that day when all you can think about is the weekend (i.e. the pure joy of daydreaming about getting on a boat this afternoon since lake season has officially arrived). You may even leave work early today because of weekend plans. The point I am making is you have probably “checked out” mentally and I am here to distract you with shoes. You’re welcome. As you can tell, I am on a bit of a bright color kick lately. Well I guess I have been ever since NYFW in September when neons hit the runway. If it’s fluorescent, you can bank on me liking it or downright obsessing over it. So take a looksy at my list of items that I am particularly fond of this week. Note: I also added in a light polish that I am really in to. Toning down my bright wardrobe a bit with blush pink nails really does the trick. Want more neons? A Trip to the West Coast: Lucky FABB Conference

what a weekend. spending time in LA to visit my brother, meeting up with some of my favorite dallas bloggers and a fabulous brunch at soho house was just what the doctor ordered. of course my friend courtney (what courtney wore) and i also managed to get some shopping in during our packed 24 hours in santa monica for the LUCKY FABB conference. speakers included zac posen, jessica alba, jeff rudes, elizabeth banks and more! the trip came to an end too soon, but it’s always good to be home again.
