The Henley

Layering is key when the weather is cold out but you can still manage to layer when it’s a breezy day as well. Pick out your favorite henley and faux fur vest. Now add some booties and a beanie and watch your style transform from comfy to chic.

Let’s talk about the henley shirt. Yes, they are a popular shirt style for men but they are also surfacing in women’s wear! I am obsessing over that perfect henley this season. Once you find it, buy it in every color. They are soft but easy to layer. Although it may look like something you wear under your ski clothes, the piece looks great with any combination. I personally love the Aztec sleeve detail on this particular one I am wearing. Let me know what your favorite layering piece is in the comments below!

New York in Dallas

Well January seems to be flying by but I am okay with it because February is one of my favorite times of year. That means that Fashion Week is right around the corner (which always excites me). Speaking of Fashion Week, I felt very New York in this look. This is something I would wear while heading to lunch in the city during the colder months. A leopard coat, thigh high boots and a bulky sweater would be fitting for the occasion. A simple outfit that is turned up a notch because of details. Sometimes the easy looks can be some of my personal favorites. xxIMG_3630IMG_3621IMG_3632IMG_3647IMG_3649coat: ASOS, sweater: Vince, jeans: Rag & Bone, boots: Free People, sunnies: Ray Ban, necklace: Bauble Bar, bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Happy 2015

3…2..1… Happy New Year! This year I had the pleasure of spending the evening with one of my closest friends with some champagne and room service at the Mansion hotel in Dallas. To be honest, it was one of the best NYE celebrations I have ever had. Another friend of mine had sent me an amazing little package in the mail to make our night even better. Special thanks to Meredith of Cake and Confetti for my Confetti Box that spruced up our hotel room for the night. Crowns, sparklers, glitter, confetti… I mean how could we go wrong? I am obsessing over receiving a “Confetti Box” in the mail to really “up” my party game. If you haven’t already, take a look at Cake and Confetti for all of your party needs. This company is perfect for a girl like me who loves to host a party but needs the help of an expert to really execute it in the way I have envisioned.

Happy 2015. I hope you all have a wonderful start to your year. xoIMG_3595 IMG_3602 IMG_3610 IMG_3616 IMG_3617 IMG_3619pants: Rag & Bone, boots: Stuart Weitzman, coat: c/o my grandmother (the most fabulous woman I know)
