Simple Sweater

If you are looking for a staple piece to have in your wardrobe this season, look no further because I have the item for you. The simple sweater is a versatile top that is a must-have. I am obsessing over the sweaters at Free People this Fall. I love to pair it with waxed denim and boots (enter my favorite Stuart Weitzman’s here). Another fun option is layering the sweater over a casual dress. I love a transitional piece that can be worn multiple ways.

Have a wonderful weekend. xx

A Little Black Dress

It’s mid October, and we are finally feeling some Fall weather in Dallas. This excites me because I can officially let the layering begin! Even if that only means a leather vest, the season of layers is back!

Now we all know that every girl needs a little black dress in their closet but what about a new spin on the staple item? I love that this cotton black dress has long sleeves and a little pattern on it to keep it casual. It can also be a go-to this Fall because you can dress it up or down. For example, I paired it with a leather vest and knee high boots. Another option is a blazer or a cape to dress it up a bit with some fun black booties or your favorite heels. A piece that can transition is always a good way to go. You can wear this dress through different seasons and manage to make it look different each time you go out of the house. AND how could I forget the boots? These Stuart Weitzman boots are some of my favorites. Not only are they striking, but they are easy to wear (comfortable). If you don’t have a good over-the-knee boot yet, I highly suggest you get a pair (you won’t regret it)!

Happy Monday! xx

Ready, Set…Game Day

Yes it’s that time of year, the weekend where two rival teams meet in the middle (Dallas, TX) to play the Red River Shootout has arrived. This Saturday, fans, college students and alumni will all participate in watching one of the biggest games of the season. TX/OU weekend is an event I have grown up looking forward to and being a fellow Longhorn, I am thrilled to be attending once again this year. Now onto the other important piece to the weekend. What to wear? While I’m known for sporting one of my vintage TEXAS tees that my cousin bought me a few years back paired with jeans and my favorite fringe booties, there are several great options. I love this burnt orange cardigan, a chambray shirt with cut off shorts or this fabulous burnt orange dress (click here) to support those Longhorns on game day. What are you waiting for? Start shopping!

Happy TX/OU weekend! Hook ‘em HORNS!! xx
