That moment when you realize you have struck gold. Okay, not literally but what I like to refer to as “closet gold”. We all know this feeling when you are going through your clothes and bam there it is: that little number you completely forgot you owned! It’s like winning the lottery. All of the sudden you have what feels like a brand new piece of clothing (when in reality you have had it for a while and might even still have a tag on it). Well, this recently happened to me with this sheer sweatshirt. In my excitement, endless possibilities came rushing through my mind. I decided to slip this sweatshirt on over a fitted black dress, add some cool kicks and call it a day. I love when an outfit is easy, but still exciting. Hope everyone in Dallas is enjoying the snow day! xx
Approaching my final hours at fashion week this season, I decided to add a pop of color while walking through the snowflakes into Lincoln Center on Saturday. It’s always bitter sweet to know this is your last full day of going to shows and trend forecasting for the year. Seeing the editors, models and being backstage are always a thrill. Today, Jay Godfrey, Mara Hoffman and Idan Cohen were on the lineup. I sat front row at Idan Cohen and was able to really capture the collection. Gorgeous detail and a black jumpsuit I must have in my closet asap. After the madness had ended, I caught up with friends in the Mercedes-Benz lounge before walking back to the Empire for the evening (a special someone had a Valentine’s date planned for us). My dear friend and fabulous photographer, Kat Harris, snapped these fun shots for me right before the downpour of snow hit.
New York, I will miss you. Until September. xx
[New York, New York // MBFW Fall 2015] Well like every season, fashion week seems to be flying by. Today I attended Mongol, Concept Korea, Nicole Miller and Monique Lhuillier’s shows. I am loving the fur detail and the deep jewel tones for Fall. Monique Lhuillier’s runway show was innovative and fresh. The models came down the catwalk and proceeded to march up stadium seating. This had all of us in awe of the beautiful pieces. To keep warm today, I added a rabbit scarf to my look. All black with a pop of white seemed perfect for this freezing New York day. Special thanks to my friend, the talented Sukilynn for snapping these shots outside of Lincoln Center on my way into a show. Stay tuned for more posts from fashion week. xo
