Last week, we decided to do a last minute trip to Heavenly Mountain Resort. Although the snow report hasn’t been the best, we still wanted to get our first ski trip in for the season. Nick and I both love skiing and try to go as many times as possible each year. While at Heavenly last week, we extended our stay a few days since snow was in the forecast (finally). Several runs were closed, but we still had SO much fun skiing on the groomers that were open.
A little sidenote: last year was my first time back on skis in a long time. While I learned to ski at four years old, I switched to snowboarding when I was thirteen. I continued to snowboard each season up until the last one. I was nervous to ski again, but it really was like riding a bike. Before I knew it, I was going to the top of the mountain skiing black diamonds once again (just like I used to with my dad on family trips)! Felt good to be back!
My mom gave me this adorable faux fur jacket that I couldn’t wait to wear in the snow! I love it paired with a simple black turtleneck, white denim and over-the-knee boots. Travel tip: We stayed at the Coachman hotel (here)…OMG SO SO CUTE!! Seriously, if you’re planning a Tahoe trip I highly recommend this spot! We loved it and will absolutely go back.
