White after Labor Day

Remember when we used to go by that little rule don’t wear white after labor day? Well, I was never a fan especially since I grew up in Texas where the weather continues to be hot until around October. Considering I am also a sucker for a Winter white look, I pretty much scratched the rule a long time ago. I just don’t think you need to wait until Spring to wear the basic color. White, black and grey are all staple colors needed in every wardrobe for every season. Come to think of it, my closet consists of a lot of white and black (with a hint of bright colors of course). Anyway, I love to throw on a good white blazer in September while the temps are mild and I’m ready to start layering for Fall. I recently found this amazing blazer and incredibly comfy white bodysuit. Free People has really mastered the art of the bodysuit in my opinion. I continue to find myself purchasing bodysuits from them. The fabric is cotton so you don’t feel as constricted in the piece. I love the bodysuit trend, and I’m happy to see it has stuck around. This particular one comes in black as well PLUS it’s only $30 (yeah, I would go ahead and get both)!

Well, I made it to New York for Fashion Week. I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow morning in this wonderful city and attend shows. Stay tuned for more from the week + follow my instagram and instagram stories (@stylebylolly) for live coverage from the runway!
