Mixing old + new

Being a stylist, one of my tricks is to mix old with new. Sometimes your budget doesn’t allow for a ton of new items and this means you have to get creative. For example, I have taken a faux fur collar (from a few seasons ago) and paired it with a new sweater. Now my older item feels new again!  I also love to layer, especially now that I live in a colder climate. This pair of distressed jeans layered over printed tights creates a fashion forward look as well. I also find myself throwing on this leather hat lately. It’s been so windy and rainy in SF and this way I can still look chic.

Now let’s chat about this satchel. My dear friend, Courtney, has partnered with GiGi New York to create a collection I adore. I love that this satchel is practical and trendy. I can carry it on my arm or style it as a cross body making it perfect for me to wear around the city. Seriously, go check out the KERRently x GiGi collection here, I guarantee you will love it.

How do you plan to style your new pieces with some of the old?
