Over the holiday weekend I attended the Napa music festival, Bottle Rock. I was super excited because the Foo Fighters were headlining on Sunday night, and they haven’t been on tour in two years. I knew I had to have tickets! Dave Grohl really knows how to be an amazing front man keeping the whole audience entertained throughout the entire set (they have so many songs it’s hard to predict what you’ll hear). As they were coming to a close since Napa has strict regulations on noise, they decided to play one more hit. This hit happened to be my personal favorite song of theirs, Everlong. The band rocked out knowing they only had a few minutes left. Then just like that the clock struck 10pm and the speakers were shut off. Dave and the band seemed surprised that they really cut out the sound before the end of the song, but they continued to rock out until it was finished (even if we could barely hear them)! What an epic night. Seeing a band play together for over two hours and keep playing even when they were told to finish was incredible.
Okay now onto the look. I decided to pair this adorable suede Rebecca Minkoff skirt with an old Foo Fighters shirt (from one of their concerts I attended in LA), golden goose sneakers and a festival approved Rebecca Minkoff backpack. The bag was the perfect size to carry my things all day (including a light jacket) and the look fit the festival so well. I personally love an outfit that is chic but also functional for a day at a festival. What’s your favorite way to dress for a music festival?
